Dos and Don’ts of Influencer Marketing

Influencer marketing is one of the most effective marketing tactics to boost your sales to the desired level. It is not about sales only, it helps to build the overall brand image. An Influencer will boost your Success ratio but you need to select appropriate Influencer as per your product or service and make sure you get maximum benefit from the Association. But there are certain things you need to make sure before approaching an Influencer and also during your Influencer Campaign, the Do’s and Don’ts are as follows:

  1. Be Savvy in choosing the Influencer:

The most important part is this, you need to make sure that you don’t just choose as per the number of followings the Influencer has, but make sure he has the most of your Field related Followings. As it is clear that not only follows but conversion matters.

  1. Help influencer increase reach of your messages:

No doubt it is the responsibility of the Influencer to increase your reach but, the content and messages Influencer spreads out just make sure you share the messages in your Social media as well and also tag your Influencer in such messages so that he knows your activity.

  1. Make your Offer to Influencers Lucrative:

Influencer approach is totally different from that of others common users. You need to make sure that you understand the needs of your Influencer and offer such proposal respectively. Like most of the Influencers seek some projects which also profit their Reputation in return and you need to make sure you offer such activities along with your Proposal.

  1. Make sure you deliver Clear and Honest requirements of your Campaign:

You need to do a proper planning of what results you expect from your Influencer and also make sure that you propose exactly same details and expectations to the Influencer. If you fail to make the Influencer understand your goals than it might be the case you will be disappointed in the Campaign in the end.

  1. Don’t bombard influencer’s inbox with follow up mails:

It is essential to do follow up but you need to give the Work space freedom to your Influencer. Don’t pressurize the situation and give time to the Campaign or else the ultimate loss will be yours.

  1. Don’t directly approach with business some casual meetings are good:

Don’t approach the influencer directly with Business, don’t just sound needy to be specific. It is better to meet casually first and make sure you deliver half of the goals without even approaching or asking for help. This increases the possibility of quick involvement and builds better understanding between two parties.

  1. Don’t forget to do a background check of his past projects and results in past associations:

Make sure you check how the Influencer performed in the past projects and what were the desired goals of the campaign and then compare them with the achieved goals. Plan your activities accordingly and make sure you don’t make the same mistakes as the Past business persons did.

  1. Don’t rely your Marketing goals completely on Influencer:

Marketing is a long run process and the results of marketing activities can be achieved from the segregation of different marketing activities and strategies. Thus, plan your marketing and branding diversely so if one thing fails, other don’t.

Thus, above are few guidelines that can help you get a long and successful Influencer Marketing Campaign.
