Google Arts and Culture- Google’s Artwork to Help You Know All the Artifacts

Google Culture Institute has come up with an amazing application and website that will convert your computer screen or your smartphone into a museum. With some amazing features and synchronizing with Google Partners, Google is trying to connect the world’s heritage and artwork under one umbrella. So if not physically, you can take a virtual tour of any museum or artwork around the world. Apart from that, they have created the Google Cardboard affiliated Virtual Reality videos that will help you take a tour of your favorite historical places and monuments. They have right now covered around 70 countries of the world and still the continuous progress to sync the world is going on.

There are following features available on the Application and most of it on the Website:

Know about History:

Know some amazing facts about the monuments or places in the history and get a daily basis featured story about the Monuments around the world or your country. All this you can find under the heading of “Your Daily Digest.” Then if you are an avid reader and want to know about amazing stories around the world, scroll down to the Stories of the Day where you will find amazing stories of the Places and monuments of the world.

Virtual Tours:

This feature is available only in the application in IOS and Android. Here they have created some Virtual Reality videos of some of the Places and Museums around the globe like the Teatro Degollado- Mexico, Austrian National Library, Rani ki Vav- The Queen’s Stepwell India and many other such places. You if not physically but with some tools like Google Cardboard, you can take a virtual tour of the Place. This way you can visit the each and every corner of the place and know how it views from there. They are trying to sync all the possible places under this. And if you plan to visit the place personally, all you need to do is click on the Visit button and get all the necessary information regarding the place.

The Art Recognizer:

Now this is something cool I would say, if you are visiting a place and not aware of the history of a painting or a structure or anything inside the museum or the Historical place, all you need to do is open the application, place your Camera towards the painting or place and know everything about it from the app itself, this feature is still in beta stage and is available in the few places like the London’s Dulwich Picture Gallery, Sydney’s Art Gallery of New South Wales and the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. But they are planning to cover possible places and synchronize all the information to become a perfect Guide for your Art Adventure.
